After very successful pilots in 2019 (we wrote a story about it here), we re-designed our RePack to fit with the American market. Then, 2020 happened. Riots, fires, elections, covid.. outch.
We couldn't have picked a tougher year to launch in North America. It has been challenging at time (read: bloody hard) BUT we're really freaking happy to still be on track and to kick-off the launch with brands that are more than ready to get rid of trash.
According to CBC Canada, more and more Canadians are really fed up with the lack of action on the growing packaging pollution, and dead-serious about getting rid of garbage. Good news: In October, RePack will be available everywhere in Canada.
At RePack, we teamed up with some of Germany's biggest e-commerce players, Otto, Tchibo & Avocadostore. We are joining forces to declare war on trash and revolutionize the way we shop. All under the same flag: PraxPACK.
What are the chances for an e-commerce packaging to be displayed on London's most famous' shelves? Probably as likely to happen as you and me to land on the moon. After weeks of keeping our lips sealed, we are happy (read absolutely FREAKING OUT) to announce that you can now find our upcycled RePacks in Selfridges as part of the carefully curated Project Earth!! 🌍💛
Talking from experience, when I receive a package from my family or friends, it usually comes in a new box they bought for the occasion, or in an old cardboard box they had around - did they keep it on purpose or where they too lazy to bring it to the recycle bin? Anyway, those boxes might last 2 rounds, top.
We've all been advised to avoid events, stay home and to wash our hands as much as possible. Well, if you're quarantined, relax and use that time to finally read that dusty book on your nightstand and to catch up with cool events you could not attend. Here is a selection of videos, webinars & podcasts featuring RePack and other reuse champions.
